PRICING GUIDANCE

Clear starting points for custom technical work.

Every project is different. The prices below provide clear starting points and defined package options, while final quotations are confirmed after we review the available files, drawings, photographs, scans, sample parts and project requirements.

You do not need complete CAD or a finished specification before getting in touch. Send the information you have and we will help identify the most useful route.

HOW PRICING WORKS

Starting prices, defined packages and project-specific quotations.

Some services have a defined starting price or minimum charge. Product-development packages apply to qualifying projects within a stated scope. More complex, open-ended or production-dependent work is priced through a custom quotation.

  • Starting prices: The simplest qualifying scope may begin at the amount shown.
  • Package prices: Apply only where the project fits the stated package boundaries.
  • Custom quotation: Used where complexity, quantity, production route or project value cannot be represented fairly by a fixed starting price.
  • Final quotation: Confirmed after reviewing the available information, requirements and intended use.

* Prices marked with an asterisk exclude VAT. VAT is added at the applicable rate, currently 20%. CAD hourly and minimum charges are displayed including VAT. VAT-inclusive totals are shown below the main ex-VAT prices where relevant.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PACKAGES

Choose a defined starting route or request a custom development plan.

Package suitability depends on complexity, number of components, available information, required revisions, prototype process and intended use – not physical size alone. We confirm the appropriate package after reviewing the project.

Custom Product Development

Custom quotation

For larger assemblies, several design directions, complex mechanisms, electronics integration, extensive research, substantial reverse engineering or preparation for injection moulding.

Package conditions

  • Large parts, specialist materials, SLA/resin prototypes, extensive supports, detailed finishing and production-quality versions may be quoted separately.
  • A revision means a change within the original agreed brief. A new concept, additional component or substantial change of requirement may require a revised quotation.
  • Delivery is additional unless collection or an agreed local drop-off, fit check or handover is expressly included.
  • Package prices cover the agreed service and project deliverables stated in the quotation. Digital source-file release and intellectual-property transfer are not automatically included.

Jigs, fixtures and production aids

Custom jigs, fixtures, assembly aids and production-support tools can be developed through the Product Development service. Where production-ready CAD is already supplied, manufacturing is priced through FDM or SLA printing plus any agreed finishing or assembly.

HOW QUOTING WORKS

Review. Clarify. Confirm.

01 / REVIEW

We review the information

We assess the drawings, files, photographs, quantity, intended use and deadline supplied with your enquiry.

02 / CLARIFY

We identify anything missing

Where necessary, we will ask about dimensions, material, finish or intended use before pricing the work.

03 / CONFIRM

We confirm the next step

We provide a quotation stating the agreed scope, deliverables, lead time and price.

PAYMENT

Straightforward payment terms.

New customers

New customers are normally required to pay in full before design, production or procurement begins. Larger projects may use deposits, milestone payments or staged invoices as stated in the quotation.

Business accounts

Thirty-day payment terms may be offered at our discretion to approved, established Business Customers, normally where a valid purchase order has been supplied.

VAT

Business quotations may show prices excluding VAT, with VAT added at the applicable rate. Consumer quotations show the total payable including VAT.

PROJECT FILES & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Clear deliverables agreed before work begins.

The customer retains ownership of pre-existing concepts, designs, drawings, files, information and intellectual property supplied to Maikoot Limited.

Unless the quotation or another written agreement expressly states otherwise, Maikoot Limited retains ownership of CAD models, editable source files, meshes, technical drawings, manufacturing files and design-development content created during the project.
